VGP - State Minister for Foreign Affairs Ali Karti of the Republic of Sudan is on a working visit to Việt Nam on October 5-8, 2009, where he paid a courtesy visit to Vice State President Nguyễn Thị Doan and held talks with his counterpart Đoàn Xuân Hưng.

In their meetings and working sessions, the Sudanese State Minister and leaders of Việt Nam’s ministries and agencies thoroughly discussed orientations and measures to strengthen multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, especially in agriculture, trade and petroleum.

The two sides agreed that there remain great potentials for closer bilateral cooperation.

The Sudanese guest highly spoke of Việt Nam’s socio-economic achievements and its higher position on regional and international arenas.
