VGP – At the invitations of the Chinese Government and the authorities of Sichuan and Chongqing, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng on October 15-17 will pay visits to the Chinese localities and attend the 10th Western China International Economy and Trade Fair in Chengdu.  

VGP - State Minister for Foreign Affairs Ali Karti of the Republic of Sudan is on a working visit to Việt Nam on October 5-8, 2009, where he paid a courtesy visit to Vice State President Nguyễn Thị Doan and held talks with his counterpart Đoàn Xuân Hưng.

VGP – State President Nguyễn Minh Triết, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng and Deputy PM, FM Phạm Gia Khiêm respectively extended their condolences to Indian President Pratibha Devisingh Patil, PM Manmohan Singh, and FM S. M. Krishna over consequences of the worst floods in southern India.

VGP – Governors suggested the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) closely coordinate with their member states to reform the global financial system, enhance state management and minimize bank risks.  

VGP – Leaders of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Republic of Korea (RoK), Brunei, Myanmar, and Australia have extended their condolences over damages of typhoon Ketsana which ravaged Central Việt Nam last week.

VGP - The 10th ASEAN Law Association (ALA) General Assembly will take place from October 14 to 18, 2010 in Hà Nội. It is the first time Việt Nam plays as the Chairman of ALA.

VGP – A Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy PM Nguyễn Thiện Nhân is now in Paris, France, to attend a conference of the 35th UNESCO General Assembly (GA) which is slated for October 6-23.

VGP – Over the past days, leaders of Argentina, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand have extended their consolations to Vietnamese leaders over damages caused by tropical storm Ketsana.

VGP – ASEAN member states should create a mechanism of information and experience exchange as well as technology transfer in order to control natural disasters and coordinate relief efforts, said a high-ranking official of ASEAN Secretariat.

VGP - The 3rd meeting of the UK-Việt Nam Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO) is scheduled to take place in Hà Nội on October 5-6 following the first one in Hà Nội in September 2007 and the second one in London in December 2008, according to UK Embassy in Việt Nam.
