Director of the Hà Nội Crop Varieties Center, Mr. Nguyễn Bá Sướng revealed on October 6 that his center was assigned by the Municipal People’s Committee to design and realize a cooperation project on wet rice cultivation in Mozambique.

Under the project, Hà Nội will offer technical transfer, workshops and training course for farmers of Macia, Gaza Province in Mozambique.

Besides, the capital city also provides good-quality rice varieties to the African country.

Agricultural experts from Hà Nội will live, work and harvest crops with farmers in Macia.

Mr. Sướng said that, through the project, Mozambique expects to double or triple its rice productivity.
